Business One Stop Proposal
State of Connecticut
As part of a broad all-digital government initiative, the State of Connecticut aims to create a consolidated “Business One Stop” online presence for the purposes of planning, registering, running, growing, and closing a business. The stated goal is to make the resource easy for all and efficient in terms of saving time. We were asked to research, analyze, design, test, and evolve a consolidated and unified digital experience to replace an experience that many business owners today find fragmented, paper-based, complicated, and time consuming.
The Research
We interviewed local business owners about their individual experiences with keeping to state compliance. After these conversations it became clear that: government language is tricky, the interface is hard to navigate and users would rather have assistance throughout the process.
